Hello to all in blogsphere! As we head into the beginning of a typical work week I wanted to share the first ever large order for A.P.P. When I push Frozen Yogurt during the day it is for a lovely family that I have worked with for about 3 years. My crazy surfer boss also has a small retail store called Footprints Coastal literally right across the street from the yogurt shop that I manage. Its a über cute shop filled with beachy décor and gift items. I really should get a picture of the shop one day.

Footprints ordered an initial order of 102 buttons, which were 17 designs at 6 each design. Now let me tell you I was in no way shape or form ready for this order. I had cranked out these designs in about a weekend and I still wasn't sure if I myself liked them, but they did. Then there was a display, retail packaging, and price points that I wasn't prepared for either. But I made it work just in time for Spring Break to start at the last of March. Crazy times. And I have a whole list of new button ideas to pitch to them hopefully soon. Another part of my long to do list.
From this I have learned something. Never rush your creative process and just deal with something to get it out there. Have more pride in your work. Now do not get me wrong, I put out some serious quality buttons, but just some of the designs I chalked up to only Footprints carrying and refuse to sell in my
Etsy shop. On the other hand some I really am proud of, like BEACHY (below). I still have a long way to go as far as retail packaging that I am just not sure of, but that's the catch 22 when you have your own business and are creating everything from scratch. The process just takes a little longer.
